really obsessed (negative) with the room full of classics professors and doctoral students having an “intellectual” debate where the MC’s point about penelope’s shroud for odysseus taking so long bc she didn’t want to marry a new suitor, and not bc she was so devoted to odysseus, is the debate-ending point and treated as revolutionary. what.

I got a few chapters in and didn’t care about any of the characters and the writing bored me to tears. Such a great premise. Awful to get through. I quit.
