This audiobook has been a struggle for me. I’m super confused but it came highly recommended from a friend (whom I seem to have less overlap with on what we enjoy reading than I thought).

—with the subsidence & sinking. The parallel, alternative universe thing made enough sense to me for the conclusion to feel satisfying. I liked the characters, plot, tension, & writing style. ☺️🩷

Amazing novel + semi-doomed yuri. I found the overall messaging to be: We lose ourselves when we are isolated. In reference to the COVID quarantine, this makes a great deal of sense. Lachlan please save the day 😩 & then she & the real Tamsin can live happily ever after 🥹 As much as I enjoy horror novel, I am not built for them lmao

You can definitely tell this book was written during/inspired by the COVID quarantine! Tamsin forgetting more & more of her previous life, only feeling like she can be inside, etc… Also, as I predicted, Prime is overtaking Tamsin & essentially replacing her. Not just that, but Tamsin has regressed entirely into Prime’s initial state of helplessness & gullibility.
