I know I should appreciate the work of a Griffin Poetry Prize winner and a Governor General’s Literary Awards finalist, but honestly, I cannot really relate, or make heads or tails of most of the poems in this book by Liz Howard. Greater intellectuals than I say that her work is brilliant, and it may be, I just can’t understand most of it.
