To everyone who has heard me complain about the scene in the 2005 P&P movie where Mr. Darcy proposes in unbuttoned pajamas, I would like to issue a public apology.

Yes, that scene was yikes, but unbuttoned pajamas are one thing, and this scene (with Mr. Darcy slowly removing his outer layer of clothing bit by bit while proposing) is… something. I understand that he’s nervous and overheated, but still…

For some reason, this Darcy just doesn’t quite feel like Darcy. He feels far more like Edward Ferrars.

The music quite literally stopped when Darcy and Bingley walked in. (Apologies for my overfamiliarity, Mr. Knightley.)
