Marvel, even when it's good, can't help but get bogged down with so much plot and weight. Half way through I was ready to be done. Still the best Fantastic Four I've read, but I've also read practically none of it. One of the best Marvel I've read in years, but I've avoid Marvel and read indie. These Marvel/DC collections feel like great treatments for a great miniseries that needed help. I'm a tourist, I guess.

So far, the set-up and panels and themes make "FF: Solve Everything" one of the most intriguing and best paced Marvel plots I've read in a decade. Granted I don't read much DC or Marvel (in general) because they almost always let me down or require an encyclopedic level of prerequisite knowledge, but this one, knock on wood, is PERFECT thus far. Happy! (I prefer smaller publishers limited 4, 6 or 12 issue arcs.)
