Status Updates From The Hymn to Dionysus

Got a little bit more reading done, but unfortunately I was half asleep so most of where I left off is a bit confusing lol. But the main characters meeting was quite fun. the witchery is very cool and is exactly what I want in my soft magic! Glad to see it be fascinating yet mystifying and horrifying all at the same time.

The narrative voice is right up my alley, and both Phaidros and Dionysus are a marvel to read. I love how silently chaotic Dionysus seems to be from the few pages he is in, and how Phaidros' mental health is slowly deteriorating and how it is characterized in conjunction with the ancient times the book is set in.

The cognitive dissonance of a) wtf is this crazy Greek myth AU fanfic vs b) but jeez her writing is so beautiful - It is kinda killing me. But that's just the Natasha Pulley experience and I must EMBRACE IT.
