Once the characters crossed over to “lovers” that’s all they did. All the other plot points fell away. Their first encounter sounded like in person phone sex, which was uncomfortable to read. Beck is yet another virgin with a decade of experience in sex.

Beck is a caricature of a character. He talks like he’s from the 19th century, has the sex drive and experience of a teenager even though he’s in his mid-30s, cannot handle a work conflict, is 6’5” which would get him dates on that alone. Oh and wears bow ties and long jonhs but also 70s style shorts.
Hazel’s background is not explored enough to warrant her name change and overall behavior.

Okay I have to be honest… I’m having a hard time getting through this one, and not just because I read it before bed and have been falling asleep within 15 minutes lol

I’m just having such a hard time believing this premise that this guy who is like the king of consent and respecting women is so inept at dating. Luckily the writing is entertaining enough for me to continue but yeah having a hard time with it
