I really connect with some books that span generations, like The Covenant of Water, but claustrophobic stories tend to resonate with me more than ones more ambitious in scope.

At a restaurant with a small menu, you can trust the ingredients are fresh and that everything is a specialty.

The writing is good here, but I'm getting the same kind of overwhelm I get from looking at a menu that's doing too much.
