Her strength, her confidence, her doubt turning into determination as she has become she wants to be. The conflict between flight or fight. The way fear trickles but it ain’t hurting her.

I feel the tension of how Sonora is getting briefed on the situation of jumping with a horse. To mount and stay in the air. The preparation, the anxious energy. The weight of this moment before. Al is becoming someone that Sonora can lean onto. The narrator really gets me in the mindset of the story. It feels like I’m transported in time I think.
