A powerful line in this book is "My mother's face appeared and her words echoed in my mind: 'Once someone knows something about you or your past, there's no going back'." This quote is vital to the plot. The main character has an incredible photographic memory. She was raised to keep quiet about it, so others don't use her. But as she becomes part of a secret group similar to the CIA, she shares about her "gift".

I feel like I'm walking into an episode of Alias. I hope William is a good guy.

I'm really enjoying this - though I HATE the wording of the Professor's caution to her "Our Little Secret" has such dodgy connotations when it's a person of authority saying it to a teenager. I'm confident that's not what the author intended - it's probably because I'm married to a cop - but the wording icked me out.
