Okay the second half is absolutely fascinating. Absolutely love the pace, and the story is just gripping. Exactly what I was wanting to read. How this is real life though!? - astonishes me. I’ve procrastinated for years on the ‘House that Jack ma built’ and think this has to be the next book. Okay Masa, I see the napoleon resemblance in your story. Fine, I see it.

On Chapter 12, right after he met Murdoch - I don’t understand much about this man tbh. So far, he’s been audacious and taken some seemingly random risks by over leveraging in a zero rates environment. But what I don’t understand is what really makes this man useful , charismatic or influential -? Feels like a very trump-like success. Right place, right time. Maybe next half will have some answers ?

This book is written haphazardly. There is no direction. It’s a book that is rehashed magazine newspaper articles from late 90s and 2000s. Not worth it. I have paid good money so I’m going to waste my good time reading it.
