Status Updates From Hello Fake Boyfriend

I’ve figured out what I don’t like about the character or maybe it’s the writing style. The narrator says what they’re doing and why they’re doing it. It feels like bragging. “I put butter on her pancakes because my parents never used margarine so it kinda stuck”. I mean… what when is that? Haughty! Cunty! It must be the style of writing because both characters do it when it’s them talking. Sigh.

I have always immensely disliked the miscommunication trope. I will never understand… Relationships take effort, honesty, and sacrifice.

BUT… I’m 10 toes down giving Jonas the credit he deserves because he did not let Mara run away. 👏🏽

Mara on the other hand… baby girl needs a little more work. Homegirl, he is your safe haven and you’re fumbling it!! 😩
