Cool, just learned that Amazon sells toys for small children with lead in them because they’d rather make sales than make sure their 3rd party sellers are legit. Cool cool cool. Don’t buy stuff for your kids on Amazon y’all. Apparently they aren’t beholden to federal safety standards.

I get that to be in the position Bezos is in, you have to be insanely driven, rule your company w/absolute control; lines between fear and dedication become blurred for employees. Just ~20% in, and it’s already about destroying small businesses that pose no threat of competition, firing employees who fell into the bottom 10% of performers at the end of the quarter w/stacked ranking systems… what a nightmare.
