How important do I make sharing the gospel and prayer in the lives of my kids? This book is challenging me to emphasize this more. I think my focus is often on working on the outward behavioral things, rather than tackling these heart issues. What are my motives for this? Lord, reveal the motives of my heart in my parenting journey.

This book has been very convicting so far. It’s a good challenge for me to make discipline my kids to be Christ followers more important than anything else. I have to acknowledge that I do not always do this. I often am prioritizing their success and my desire for them to fit in in the world over other things. My fears surrounding my kids fitting in in ways I didn’t feel able to definitely play a part in this.
