Wanted to comment on Teasdale Manor—I wonder if the towers will be important later on? Perhaps someone will get locked in there? I wouldn’t put it past the cobra, but only time will tell.

Both E & D pining from afar, it’s looking to be skinny love my friends. Lady Emily is getting one major side eye here, from me as well as the honorable Colonel Fitzwilliam. Isn’t that interesting? Oh Darcy, you oblivious man. Cobra indeed.

Audiobook version is positively painful. The performer is, I think, American, and the accents, intonation and bizarre choices of tone and expression do not do the text justice.
Saying that, although the premise is interesting (Darcy does not accompany Bingley to Netherfield and is therefore not introduced to Elizabeth until after Jane and Bingley are married) the characters are misunderstood and the plot is thin.

Maria Valderrama
is starting
On Chapter 20 and am wondering whether to quit or keep slogging through in-depth repetitions of previously stated information. I'm curious as to how it ends, so I skip over a few pages, but even then the story just doesn't seem to make much progress.
I might set it aside for a bit and pick it up again at a later date. We'll see.
