I liked that - fits well with the ever present presence of the Somnovem within the Nonagon. Could’ve been more of it through the entire book actually, as it’s more subtle. Like there could’ve been entire convos between the Somnovem that you could literally read overlapped with the text

As he is pulled back to life, and there is only a single word on each page, I must’ve accidentally double clicked somewhere and that shit went lighting fast, pulling me with it, barely giving the next word/page time to appear before the next came. Okay, Mighty Nein spoilers ahead, but I’ve gotta ask:

How much of Lucien’s backstory was established before this was written? Like did this author alone come up with the family story or was it given to them from the intended campaign lore? I do wonder. Cause idk how I feel about the near parallels to a certain wizard’s backstory yknow? Is it intentional? Just… curious about that. Hm

Honestly kinda liked the mystery of NOT knowing Lucien, but alas, I am fuelled by my curiosity and desire to know other things.
