Status Updates From Aces Wild

Just realized ANOTHER hint that Carlevaro is Jack’s dad: Jack’s numerous (at least twice) references to the fact that he looks nothing like his dad.

I was right! Carlevaro is Jack's dad! I'm a little annoyed I didn't notice that Morgan's name is meant to be short for Morgana, Arthur's... well, not sister, but she was raised in the castle with him. Ouch. Morgan didn't even get that.

What if Jack is Carlevaro's son? His first name is Arthur, and Carlevaro's whole empire is based of the Legend of King Arthur. Then there's Carlevaro's apparent obsession with him. I mean, why is he trying to get Jack come after him? If not to get him arrested, I don't see the point. There's also the Morgan factor, and her surprise Jack "doesn't know anything."

Morgan has betrayed Jack, and now I'm waiting for the part where she tells him she had to do it and she's actually still on his side. Perhaps it's because I'm thinking of Lightlark and Grim. Perhaps it's because without her, I don't see how Jack can get his mom out of jail. Then again, maybe that's the point of the story. Maybe the point is that he has to learn to live in this new life.

I think Morgan might be Carlevaro’s daughter. After all, what would she be the daughter of some random founding knight when she could be the daughter of Jack’s current mortal enemy.
