Status Updates From Graceless Heart

The audiobook is bad and is ruining my experience with this book 😭

I was really hopeful for this but damn. It sucks. The romance is rushed and feels forced, the writing is on par with YA, the language and tone is just wild and changes on a dime, the characters motivations make no sense, the entire magic plotline is basically set dressing and adds nothing, I could go on

The plot is moving and is gaining my attention! The fact that the same man she met that night was also one of the judges was something I didn't see coming. I wonder if there is a love interest? Would he be the mmc?

Currently 8% in, and you know what, I'm glad I continued instead of DNF. The story is moving at an interesting pace, and there are stakes on the line, creating enough suspense for me to continue. So far, I am liking the main character as well! I like how strong-willed she is, and she's willing to do anything for her brother. I'm really hoping she'll make it.
