I bought this collection ages ago because it has Jane Austen-inspired stories, but I didn't realize the first half is unrelated stories. If the second story isn't any better than the first one, I may just have to skip ahead to the Austen ones...

It's been a struggle, what with the first 58% being hard core MFA style writing. Like, I'm not built for pages and pages of highbrow colonoscopy-themed satirical cultural analysis (which I flipped through fast while shielding my eyes). I finally made it to the Austen fanfic, which is what I was here for. It occupies the latter 42% of the book.
