Status Updates From Ravenminder

I ultimately decided to DNF this title at the 50% mark. While I appreciated the premise and the atmosphere, the pacing never clicked for me, and I found myself waiting for the story to fully engage. I can absolutely see this appealing to readers who enjoy a very gradual, character-driven fantasy, but it wasn’t the right fit for my reading preferences.

Im at the halfway point and still nothing big has happened. Anyone read this book and want to give me the encouragement that it’s about to get really good or should I DNF?

I’m having a hard time getting invested in the story and I’m not feeling any chemistry or yearning between the fmc and any male character. Usually at the 20-25% mark, I’ve got an idea of what’s happening, but I’m not sure yet. Might just be a slow start.
