her brother and lover “rescue” her
thanks to a random appearance by a helpful little french boy

and then alls good again

the amount of mistakes and errors ive highlighted in the book is disgusting

esp with all those publisher links at the end of the book

ugh she finally gets to show off her musical talents and screws it all up bc she’s an idiot.
no thanks to that marley bitch either

at least aunt maude is pleasant enough

brava etta for standing up to charlie
that scene was great
even more so when her mother and aunt(?) clearly supported her verbal bashing and scolding to charlie

surpisingly but not an unwelcome change
the next chapter continues in the past

damn ngl but that coming out cake the aunts got for hetty was so sweet it made me teary

right before that the previous chapter ended either etta’s letter to max
and i thought for sure we’d get the typical scene where the fmc plays music so well and surprises everyone with her skills

although
at least she already made some waves with her enthusiastic dancing at her party

that marley bitch better die.

very quickly were finding out hetty is very likely gay

i’m not mad about it

but now i’m even more sure that the bracelet can’t be broken

but it also seems like it’s likely it will break
and likely on etta’s end since hetty was smart enough to take it off and secure it safely

so i was wrong and right about the povs switching back and forth with etta and hetty

which i’m both glad and hateful for

literally switching back and forth is fucking annoying
and i’m barely a third of the way through

max seems like he will be the mmc
if there’s going to be the typical hea that is

still waiting for the snake to appear
hopefully it’s not her new friend clarissa i think is her name

i’ve already forgotten the notes on this app

it feels like all my rants are made in the notes of the digital book

mainly of how fucking stupid this fmc is most of the time

the set up and all

and chapter two starts right away with our fmc in the past

i don’t like this mystery snake
