I was so enjoying this one, and it still has merit, but the abrupt change in Saskia is irking me. The first chapter her internal monologue is completely dedicated to this society and the Guardians. Now all of a sudden she’s a rebel??? Where’s the build up, the awakening??

Will leave this @30% for now, not sure if it’s something I am going to finish because YOLO.

The premise was promising. There was a trigger in the first chapter that I thought would bring the book in a good emotional depth to connect with me.

Unfortunately, 30% in and I feel like this is a temu version of Hunger Games and Vesselless combo. Also giving Twilight.
