Book 2/12
Well well well.
It seems like I am taking a break from Monte Christo to focus on some sweet western action.
This is a true western novel, never mind the nun protagonist. Same author that wrote the Triggernometry novellas with a female mathematics professor as a protagonist (which I will be reading next, at least the first novella). And what can I say? I am a sucker for these plots. Go Sister Josephine!

How many times can someone be shot at, avoid the Union army, the confederacy, the state troopers and STILL have to shoot someone to provide a merciful death?
It’s relentless and it’s so good 🤩

I don’t know how this book was written in the modern age - it reads like a proper mix of penny dreadful and classic western. Every brittle sentence is packed with action and each chapter is only a few pages, making it easy to whip through a day’s chaos. Add to that, there’s a cliffhanger every few pages and it’s hard to stop! If only bedtime was later…
