Well, I didn’t think it could get darker than a trigger warning for SA. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to walk through the lumber section at Lowe’s without thinking about this book.

I did not expect that a book on the history of trees in the United States would require a trigger warning for SA but here we are. Trigger warning for SA in a book about the history of American Evergreens.

This random pick turned out to be one of the best history books I’ve ever read.

Absolutely loving this so far. Recommended from a worker at a bookstore post braiding Sweetgrass it’s way off of a spiritual element but I am loving the social, historical and nature context of this so far.
