Status Updates From Shadow at the Morgue

Intriguing Victorian so far is very good. Reminds me a bit of the PBS series Miss Scarlet. Our heroine is working in a morgue with her uncle as her parents are dead. The hero is the adopted son of the last Chief inspector of Scotland Yard and very proper and standoffish. He has known the heroine most of his life- he was picked from the streets by his mentor and she was rescued from murder scene by the same Chief.

She however has no problem with death and is really quite good at the job. As her uncle's health is not good she picks up more and more of the work. Inspector Reid's son Jasper finds out and she is afraid she will be banned.

Her uncle a surgeon was given a job near Scotland yard so Old Inspector Reid could keep and eye on her welfare. Her uncle is the coroner and lets her assist him but no one can know as Victorian women aren't allowed to do this.

Leonora Spencer's family was murdered 15 yrs ago the crime was never solved. Leo was taken in by Chief Inspector Reid for several months till her family could be located. She was then raised by her aunt and uncle.
