Status Updates From Colored Television

After chapter 4 this book stops being able writing human stories as a person perceived by their race and starts being about the manipulation of a man who subscribes to capitalism and a woman who is trying to make her life better. Feels like a different book. I’d qualify it as not quite a thriller, but very tense!

Honestly, I’m stunned. Senna has come o it swinging, and I’m wondering what else I need to read, what else I need to consider before I try and write my long mentally-carried story about Arab diaspora. I’m loving this writing so far. High quality stuff. I did look up Senna’s Wikipedia.

“A child carried from another land to assuage this woman’s desire to experience mother love.” No holding back. As a white passing Arab-Latino guy… this is going to be a very interesting read.
