This book is an absolute bore. I’m on chapter 16. At this point, I’m gonna get to the end just out of spite.

I'm only 80 pages in but I'm feeling things. First, it feels more like a medical journal than a romantasy. This is one thing that throws me off so much. I'm not sure whether I want to continue reading about gross things.
Second, the language is bit of a stretch. I'm no dictionary, I need to be a dictionary to read this.
There is no world building. Can't even decide on which timeline am I soused to imagine this book.

“Although Perfect Aedan had got faults.”
“Which?”
“Have you seen his ears?”
“What’s wrong with them?”
“They’re massive.”
“They aren’t.”
“Look at those things, scooping up the very Air. Could he leave some decibels for the rest of us?”
I’m CACKLING.

This book is ridiculous and I’m still over here giddy about things being said.
Also… I’ve never thought about how English writing could be so very very British. So British it makes me question if there is writing specifically with so many American phrases/idioms/slang that make reading your native tongue difficult.

"Osric odiaba haber llegado entero a la viedra y que ahora le faltara un trozo de sí mismo, porque se lo había entregado a dos ojos brillantes como estrellas."
Literalmente todavía no pasó nada pero paso todo, estoy como loca.
