The Visit: Everyone goes through the ups and down of romantic relationships, but can you still commit to the person if you don’t love them?? A grandmother gives advice to her granddaughter on her relationship. The grandmother also shows her how she loved grandfather with actions.

Get It Done: A married couple expecting twins deal with challenges in their sex life. Their desire for each other changes as the woman’s body changes with pregnancy. Will a pamphlet with suggestions be enough to get them through this??

All That’s Left: Can a friendship withstand a breakup? A friend who’s like family supports another friend through a breakup.

How We Got Here: For me, the title of this story is what has me most curious. A daughter tries to help her mother heal visible and invisible wounds. This story left me with the most opportunities for discussion with others.

At This Moment: I wasn’t ready to read this story. Family secrets are something everyone deals with, usually to the detriment of children. In this story, a granddaughter is comforting her grandfather but is unable to confront her father. Secrets get buried but never forgotten. Parents ask for forgiveness but can they be forgiven??

On The Way: the teenager in this story struggles with expressing herself. Due to family issues, she is unable to verbalize her thoughts and opinions. It is not until the issues actualize and she is forced to deal with it that she learns to accept or reject her situation.

The Keys: This grandchild is brave to confront her elder like that. Children are often curious about their elders and discuss it amongst themselves. This grandchild actually took action and presented a choice, forcing the elder to make a decision. Interesting. Nice.

Myrna’s Dad: A family secret and it’s impact on 2 cousins. When is it okay to lie? How big is too big of a lie?? One cousin knows the truth and does her best to protect the other. Children are bold, brave, and can be very resilient. Parents have to trust their children can handle the truth.

Then It’s Over: A sweet story about understanding and gender roles. A child trying to find their place in the world amidst bickering, divorced parents. Everyone trying to understand that everyone.
