I don’t know if my issue is with some inconsistencies around WWI or what but a lot of the historical elements feel more in line with WWII not The Great War, even down to the main character’s short hair and beret which seems out of step with the 1910s.

And as many others have said this is more a “historical” war mystery than anything overly supernatural.
