Status Updates From Le bibliotecarie di Notre-Dame

The writing in this is beyond terrible. I’m so confused

Apparently I read and liked a book by this author before and gave it four stars, but dear god, the writing style in this is painful.

Having been a librarian myself, I was excited to read a book about libraries being established in war-torn France. However, the narrative didn’t catch my attention and I found my mind wandering throughout the book.

I’m a history buff. I had never heard of the cards. This was an awesome story. Any thing with libraries I find interesting. These women were so brave. I feel there were many brave women during any war. I wish there were more stories about them.
