My opinion of the book thus far is the writing is so good. The author writes in a way that can capture multiple stories in one sentence— I feel the need to reread paragraphs to clearly understand what’s happening. Moreover the character Violet is insane, terrifying, and a volatile person but her complexity is intriguing and intricate.

Focusing on the people of harlem, no on two specific people that even the snappy narrator has to admit she doesnt know anything about them. It uses Morrisons historical gaze in the most effective way
