Update: It doesn’t usually take me this long to read a book, especially if I’m suuuuuper invested. Sadly, while I’m curious and plan to read the whole book, my investment is lower than I’d like and it’s sitting at a solid 3.5 ⭐️ right now for me.

Update: Not happy about an author using a kiss to stop a panic attack. It romanticizes that and I hate it.

Hmm. I’m not sure how I feel about what just occurred. I really wish it had gone another way and was more justified. I love a morally black MMC, but this may have gone too far for me given the circumstances and my empathy for the character. He really needed to have done something awful enough for me to have accepted this.

I’m squealing. Gosh C.R. Jane knows how to write obsessive and possessive men!

Update: I’m all about C. R. Jane’s red flag men, but something in this book actually had me tearing up for the guy who isn’t the MMC. It’s not fair for sure, and I know the MMCs do anything and everything to get their woman. I just wish this specific thing had been done differently. Still gonna keep reading cause for the most part I really love Jagger.
