God this book is terrible, I hate cheesy juvenile dialogue, I do not give a shit about a single character, all of the friends in the coven are boring, and the romance is very rushed. Best part is the rich dude building the hotel.

Martha (little old lady library volunteer) is the villain. Her "creature" killed Clark. The narrator in Book 1 used the same voice as Martha when on the phone with Clark. Collin's ex, Paige, has shown up at his house and saw him carrying Alice home after Clark's death. Collin's losing points in his responses because he's worried what Paige will do to Alice if he rejects her outright. Plus, he's humiliated.

Collin's having nightmares about Victoria fleeing in the halls of the hotel with a man chasing her. It seems to be a psychic echo. Alice discovered Victoria is a Bancroft who was found murdered. The ring was engraved V&S. The S is probably the Proctor ancestor that was never found. They were probably both killed by her fiancé.
