It’s ok lol. The story feels all over the place.

struggling to keep going with this book, i just can’t connect but i want to enjoy it because it’s set on mackinac island 🥹

I like it a little more now and I empathize with Anne more as well. I’m annoyed at the situation with her job not feeling factual (as a teacher knowing how teaching works) and I hate the references to COVID. Sometimes it feels like everyone hates her for no reason aka for the plot.

I overheard someone at This Is a Bookstore talking about this book, and I was like….i have to read this book. And now I’m listening to the audiobook. I don’t really like this book so far, but keeping an open mind.

this is so messy i can’t wait to read more
