I'm only a tenth of the way in, and so far this book has been packed already with a book's worth of good stuff: so far, the British attitude toward armies, both preparedness and training as well as strategy and logistics. What was learned the hard way during WW I, Liddel-Hart's post-war assessment of UK strategy with respect to army disposition . . . and how it all was thrown away during the twenties and thirties.
