I'm not really sure why this needed a foreword. But I'm even more unpleasantly uncertain as to who thought it needed a foreword written by a man.

The Girl With Antlers

I tore myself out of my own mother's womb.
There was no other way to arrive in this world.
A terrified midwife named me Monster
and left me in the pine words with only the moon.
My mother's bool dripped from my treed head.

This is the first stanza!!! The first one! It's so good.

This is the last line...You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
