I love that Lance and Adam (an older man who prays a lot) are limd, male figures to Calista. I know she's fictional, but I want to give Calysta a big hug. I remember feeling unlovable as a teenager and I desperately wanted a boyfriend/social validation. But now I remind myself that true validation comes from God.
