I like the uniqueness of the creatures but there are too many brackets and it is kind of wordy. Cadeyrn for example is constantly justifying his reasons for kidnapping Cassie. He doesn't need to defend himself to himself its redundant and is tiresome to read. Less reasoning more feeling
