Status Updates From Gable (The Powers That Be, #1)

So...

...the family's only daughter runs into the house screaming that a stranger is trying to get her, to not let him in the house, and tells them that he has been harassing her (so much that she left school and fled home to freakin' Idaho), and they criticize her for not giving him a chance to talk to her and are totally on his side.

Right. Nice to know you can always count on family.

J'ai bien aimé cette histoire. Pas depuis le début. Il n'y a que le point de vue de la fille. Je la trouvais parfois immature. Mais les personnages sont de jeunes adultes. Il fallait m'en attendre. J'ai tout de même ajouté le tome 2 dans ma liste de souhaits. J'aime les prises de conscience qui nous font avancer dans la vie.

“You’re gonna hold your head high. Gable Powers is not the be-all, end-all, my gorgeous roomie. The first time you see him, it’ll sting a little, but every day after, it’ll just get easier and easier.”

“Just what do you think you’re doing?” I hissed under my breath, so tired of him keeping me off balance with his stupid, sexy self.
“I’ll be doing you soon,” he responded.
Oh, my God.
“You’re a huge jerk,” I snapped, shoving my notebook into my bag.
“You’re right about me being huge, Priss.”
“God, why’d I even come today?” and I knew my mistake the minute I said this.
“I just seem to have that effect on women,”

There's very mixed reviews on this one... But I'm willing to give it a try.
