The use of pregnancy loss in this book is very weird and I don’t think I like it

“[redacted]. It was a shame he was dead. He was so hot. Tall and manly looking, like a cartoon lumberjack. [redacted] barely knew him. Which didn't make what happened to him any less of a tragedy. The top of his head had been taken clean off. But it hadn't been clean at all.”

This is an example of the many dumb paragraphs in this.

God this dialogue is so bad also this is not gothic I need people to look up the definition of “gothic” before slapping it on their book lmfao

The dialogue in this is not great but the plot is riveting so far so it’s outweighing that.
