I think I liked this story.

Lopsided - I liked this one!! Def felt a bit melancholic as well, Rand seems like such a good guy and it made me sad because I know that these 2 don’t end up happy and in love in the long run. This story in particular had me thinking a lot about how it could’ve ended for them, does the fmc die? Do they break up? (likely) do they live happy ever after? Does fmc get her other nip pierced? This was a good one

Okay, okay, okay - I also kind of liked this one, I liked the set up and the 2 girls and there was a sense of dread/something ominous embedded in this story that I didn’t feel in the others, but it felt so unsatisfying when it ended, I wanted to know what happened next

Home videos - weird kleptomaniac and oily ham. Not my fav story

Party favors - I think I liked this one. I’m at a point in the book where I realized that everyone here kind of sucks and would heavily benefit from therapy for a bit, also they should not be in relationships, they’re all shitty partners

Monsters - yessss! This one was solid, great pacing, great voice, somewhat of a message/theme that connects to the whole idea of chasing fame. I wish it was longer, it really had me curious! What happened to Gemma?

Trick - oooooh! This one wasn’t bad, and I liked how it ended, very weird and kind of ominous.

Arlo’s a WEIRDOOOOOOOOOO! I guess everyone in this book is a freak but I don’t know, his little quirk really made me feel freaked out, keep that little weirdo 100 feet away from me at all times.

Smart girl - I’m still confused 😭 I understood this story but I don’t know if Sydney rende was trying to convey a more meaningful message as opposed to something like, college/coming of age is weird, sex is performative, insecurity is prevalent in young adults, we’re too concerned with how we’re perceived by others, etc. I also don’t get how this story connects with the overarching theme of chasing fame

the hole in your heart is mine - I actually don’t know what the fuck I just read. Like, I’ve never been so confused about anything before in my life. Was duke even real? His mom? Were they figments of her imagination. Did the main girl want to be a mother figure to duke? I DONT KNOW
