Was finally able to sink my teeth a little deeper into this after a long day of work and I’m having a blast. I’m past the Tolkien stuff and into the historically-based essay. Who knew the history of cars in Oxford would be so interesting?

Actually started this like a week ago and just haven’t updated here. I’m having soooo much fun with this book. It’s really nice to go back to reading Tolkien and his comedy mixed with his commentary on cars through his use of language and translation is really interesting! It’s also really sad to see that this is finally Christopher’s last editorial publication of his father’s work :(

Creating a new reality where Latin is read right to left, and then create two professors whose names as Gums and Sarevelk whose names should also be read right to left - is a special kind of satire/shade/hate towards academia that I absolutely adore.
