By the time he closed the covers, he had dipped barely a fingertip into the foul well of its waters, but he had read enough to know that this so-called Compendium of Srem was in truth the Compendium of Satan, a library of falsehoods fashioned by the Father of Lies himself.

A couple thoughts:
(1) Third book into my Kindle Singles four-pack of mysteries about books, and the third "best-selling author" I've never heard of.
(2) Despite being sold as mystery stories, the books so far haven't really been that. Anne Perry's was sort of a mystery, except nothing was revealed. Christopher Fowler's was essentially a treasure hunt. I suppose they were about mysterious books, and so fit the theme.
