ali'Imran begins as an expansion on prophets like Mary/Jesus, correcting "knowingly conceal[ed] truth" (v.71), but descends into a ramble against the People of the Book who "reject revelation" (v.98) curiously received by one guy by himself. Talks a lot about "unremorsefully" demonstrating earthly supremacy over unbelievers (v.139), whom God does not love (v.32) and you shouldn't either (v.28). Unabashedly cultish.

"huh. always wondered why people never use their strongest attack first." ~Sans, Undertale.
No messing around as the second surah of the whole scripture is also the longest. Lots of thoughts on this but not as many - or as many positive, at least - as the length would have suggest. Nevertheless it's pretty clear that if you are to read *only one* surah to understand the Islamic framework, it should be al-Baqarah.
