Status Updates From Daddy Issues

I can’t with an unlikeable main character. She’s self pitying but does nothing to better her sitch. Kind of a judgmental loser, all while her own relationships are lacking. And I can see she’s going to fall for the MMC all because he’s the only male in her life that is someone she could view as a role model. Which is kind of gross considering he’s like 15 years older. All the other characters suck too. Dnf

Nick is the only redeeming thing about this book. Seriously

She is sooooo whiny omg. Also, wearing a T shirt with a toothpaste stain to go with your mother trying on wedding dresses does NOT make you quirky.

It gets WORSE omg. This is probably the worst book I’ve ever read. Cannot wait for it to be over

Oh my god this is SO bad…the best friend literally says she went through a phase where she was obsessed with blood. Girl WHAT? Honestly might give this 1 star, which I never do.

I like Nick already. Him calling her out on her bs is the best thing I’ve ever read.

This isn’t something i share a lot but when I worked retail during covid, I thought I was immunocompromised and was scared I would catch covid and die. And that isn’t being discussed here. At all. If you’re going to write a book about covid, include immunocompromised and at risk people please. Thank you.

Also, I don’t think this is my type of humor. It feels like very dry humor and idk if that’s my thing

Okay, so here’s the thing. I am not sure I feel bad for her here. I can’t even tell you how many classes I have almost failed or failed, and I’m not going to do woe is me over a B-. Second, the pandemic anxiety is so valid, and idk when this book was published but I worked RETAIL all through covid, and then went back for my paralegal certificate. So idk about this.
