Was not expecting to be jumpscared by Jesse Singal in this book. I'm willing to believe that his 2021 book criticizing "fad psychology" was in fact well-researched -- but given his terrible anti-trans "research" (which predates that book!), I wish the authors had simply shared the criticisms that are found in that book (which are also found elsewhere!) without invoking his book as a framing device or quoting him.
