first of all, alissa nutting is an incredible writer. she has a way with words that really captures you as a reader, her elongated use of descriptions and pointed chosen words really help you look into celeste's minds - like when she chose to liken the colour red to a dog erection - it really paints a picture of where her mind sits.
the extensive planning on Celeste's part really shows how perverted and sick she is

time to start a book about a pedophile, im sure this wont have any affect on my brain

This book is rough, like a bad car accident. The writing style is 10/10 but the content is provocative, predatory, and probably triggering for many. I have already wanted to DNF it several times.
