Status Updates From The Towers of Trebizond

This book was published exactly 70 years ago. Reading Aunt Dot's enthusiasm for how Christianity is a faith naturally suited to progressivism and liberating women is a bit jarring (and saddening, and maddening) from my reading position in the US in 2026, where Christians are very determinedly leading the charge to deprive women of all the rights we've gained since 1956.

I forgot how many long unbroken paragraphs there are in this book. I keep having to leave off reading in the middle of one. This is pretty dated but still very interesting and mostly entertaining.
