Status Updates From The Book of Negroes

This book is taking a toll on me. At times it’s graphic, nearly always tragic and still I just want to see Meenas story just culminate into something good.

I am looking forward to finishing so the weight of the truth behind the story can be lifted.

25 pages in and I can already tell that I'm going to enjoy this novel, although painful in content. What I enjoy is the writing and rhythmic prose.

Extraordinary story. I’m thoroughly impressed how the author immediately captivated my attention and I’m definitely already emotionally attached to our young heroine.
