Status Updates From Old Soul

Not at all the book it’s advertised as. Definitively not a western, not really a thriller. Maybe a horror novel, in the sense that bad things happen to people, but the framing sort of eliminates the tension necessary for the horror to be effective. The only surprise was the ending, which is immediately undercut by the epilogue. But overall a pretty decent book.
